About Us
Who Runs the Service?
Most of the volunteers you will be in contact with at FFOPS have been relatives or friends of imprisoned people or they have been prisoners themselves and realise the effect it had on their loved ones. Some having gone through 12 step recovery or other programmes so we really do understand what its like.
Our paid project co-ordinator and volunteers are committed to making a difference and supporting others during difficult times.

We are the bad weather and will open again as soon as possible!
Welcome to the FFOP’s website
If you have a relative or close friend in prison then this is the site for you. Families are the forgotton VICTIMS.
To us you are our main concern. We appreciate that it is those on the outside who are left to support children and pay bills as well as sending money into offenders. You also often have to travel long distances to offer moral support and maintain family relationships.
We are a registered charity which offers support to families, their children & friends of offenders throughout all stages of the criminal justice system and during their resettlement back into the community.
We know how hard it is for those on the outside, who themselves are serving a SILENT SENTENCE. We are a voluntary organisation who truly understand and are here to support you and your family. Don’t suffer in silence and don’t isolate yourself.
If you:
- Are new to this situation
- Don’t know what to expect
- Don’t know what to ask
- Don’t know who to ask
- FFOPs have this experience to share with you.
- Whatever your relationship with an offender is:-
- If you have personal or financial problems
- If you are unsure about your rights
- If you feel nobody cares
- If you don’t know what to do or where to turn
- Worried about telling the children, their school, your workplace or friends
…..dont suffer in silence. Give us a call, drop in or email to us and we will be happy to listen to you in complete confidence
